    it’s Polish, but not folk musik – it’s music written by Jacek Kaczmarski – one of the best known Polish artist- anti soviet oppositionist, bard of “Solidarnosc” of years 1980-90. He died in 2004.

    Thanks for the comment. I guess I tend to call anything with acoustic guitar “folk.” But I do know about Kaczmarski, as I researched him a bit as a result of downloading these tunes. I wrote about Kaczmarski in my blog:

    And as a Cuban, I can relate to anti-communism very well. In fact, Ciro Diaz, La Babosa Azul’s frontman, is currently under arrest in Havana. Read more at their website (Some of it is in English):
